Jerry Ziler

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, at First Baptist Church in Dell City, Texas for Jerry C. Ziler, 501 S. 20th, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Ziler, 57, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at Artesia General Hospital. Rev. Gavin Vaughan will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Jerry was born May 5, 1951 in El Paso, Texas; the son of Doyle Ziler and Lois Hollingsworth Ziler. His mother preceded him in death. On Feb. 26, 1989 he was married to Lynda Hays in Dallas, Texas. She preceded him in death October, 2001. He was a supervisor for a water co-op and came to Artesia in 2006 from El Paso, Texas. Survivors include his father Doyle Ziler of Dell City; sons Ryan Ziler of Mayport, Florida, and Chris Hays of Mineola, Texas; daughter Johnna Gage of Artesia; brother Don Ziler of El Paso, Texas; sister Mary Fleming of Dell City; and grandchildren Preston, Lance, Matthew, Douglas, Whitney, Caitlyn, Cheyenne and Cameron.
