Jerry Roy Yates passed away on July 9, 2020.
Jerry was the son of Joe and Faye Yates. He was born March 20, 1948.
Jerry was a cowboy in all sense of the word. He was an avid horseman, welder, and a truck driver.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years Judy A. Yates, a son Gene Yates, grandson Kolton Jorren, grand-daughtes Kinsley Jorren, Megan Wolsteins, and Sydney Yates, great-grandchildren Eastyn Valdez and Hudson Yates, sisters Pat Simion, Nona Faye Scofield, Clydean Smith, Kathy Yates, Jackie Yates and Martha Daniels, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Faye Yates, brothers Bill Yates, Jim Yates and Bob Yates, and a daughter Missy Yates.
Pallbearers are Robert Saucup, Kendale Hendrix, Otis Yates, Dwayne Pounds, Kolton Jorren and Johnny Miller.
Jerry was a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a wonderful friend. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be at Woodbine Cemetery on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 2 p.m. with Teet Hendrix officiating.
