Jerry Evrage

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, 3321 North Dal Paso, Hobbs, N.M. for former Artesia resident Jerry Wayne Evrage of Hobbs. PMr. Evrage, 73, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at his home. PRev. David Matkins will officiate. Cremation has taken place. PJerry was born on Feb. 15, 1934, in Carlsbad, N.M. He attended New Mexico Military Institute and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He received a bachelor's degree in marketing from North Texas State in Denton, Texas. PHe was a resident of Hobbs for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Methodist denomination and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for approximately 50 years. He was also active in the Hobbs Bass Club. PSurvivors include his daughters, Deb Chase of Artesia, Donna Murrill of Hobbs and Deena Cabot of Bayfield, Colo.; grandchildren Chance Chase of Orlando, Fla., Tiffany Murrill of Lovington, Kendra Murrill of Dallas, Kali Murrill of Dallas, Jerid Cabot of Durango, Colo., and Cassidy Cabot of Bayfield; two great-grandchildren; and a brother James Ray Evrage of Pion, N.M. PEvrage was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Faye Evrage, of Carlsbad.
