Jeremiah Champion

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, at West Main Baptist Church for Jeremiah Nate Champion, 101 E. Blevins Rd., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Champion, 22, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at his home. Rev. Jason Kraft will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be J.D. Champion, Jeremiah Bush, Richard Valverde, Caleb Shell, Blake Bollema, Kyle Greathouse and Chevy Chase. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Monday. Mr. Champion was born April 3, 1985 in Frankfort, Germany; the son of Jedd Quint Champion and Connie Marie Mann Champion. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia. He was a construction worker, had obtained his pilots license and was in process of obtaining his commercial pilots license. He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister Brooke Nicole Mann. Survivors include his father Jedd Champion of Artesia; brother Quinton John Champion of Roswell, N.M.; grandparents Richard and Janis Champion of Artesia, and Alice and Wayne Reed of Artesia; great-grandmothers Marjorie Champion of Artesia, Madge Nabours of Artesia, Elsie Mann of Artesia and great-grandparents Tex and Edythe James of Artesia; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a niece.
