Jeffrey Hurley

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 12, at First Baptist Church for Jeffrey Winston Hurley, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Hurley, 28, died Monday, September 8, 2003 in Artesia, New Mexico. Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert White, Jack Metcalf, Gary Martinez, Carl McCormick, Emilio Martinez and Wilbur Martinez. Mr. Hurley was born August 4,1975 in Carlsbad, New Mexico; the son of J.W. Hurley and Irma Jean Gregory Hurley. He came to Artesia in 1985 from Carlsbad, New Mexico. On May 27,1995 he was married to Rebecca White in Carlsbad, NM. He was a Driller for Patterson UTI Drilling and attended First Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing softball, hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10a.m. Thursday. He was preceded in death by his father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife Rebecca Hurley of Artesia; mother Irma Jean Gregory of Artesia; daughter Tristin Hurley of Artesia; brothers Craig Hurley of Carlsbad, Charlie Metcalf and wife Shelly of Rusk, Texas, and Jack A. Metcalf of Artesia; sisters Christy Sparkman and husband Carl of College Station, Texas, Bonnie Morris of Roswell, NM, Mary Gregory White and husband Robert of Artesia, honorary brothers Gary Martinez of Las Cruces, NM and Wesley T. Hurley of Albuquerque, NM; maternal grandmother Bonnie Gregory of Artesia; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
