Jeffery Morgan

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Lake Arthur Methodist Church for Jeffery Matthew Morgan of Lake Arthur, New Mexico.

Mr. Morgan, 58, died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his home.

Rev. Don Johnston will officiate at the services. Cremation is under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. No visitation is planned.

Jeffery was born February 13, 1954 in Denver, Colorado the son of James R. Morgan and Marjorie Janiece Pearson Morgan. He came to Artesia in 1965 From Portales, N.M. He was a 1972 graduate of Lake Arthur High School and graduated from New Mexico State University on 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Jeffery worked as a mechanic and plant operator. He was a member of Lake Arthur United Methodist Church, Alpha Gamma Rho fraturnity, and TRCA Team Roping Association.

Survivors include sisters Marcy Morgan and Julie Lyles and husband Jody all of Cottonwood, N.M. nieces and nephews Button Ancell of Pinon, N.M. Tabatha Moreau and husband Jarrod of Artesia, and Scotty Lyles and wife Crea of Cottonwood.
