Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Terpening Son Chapel for Jean Marie Kimbrough, 1703 La Cima Avenue, Artesia, New Mexico. Ms. Kimbrough, 89, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia. Joey White will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stanley Davis, Mike Harris, Wesley Davis, Chad Harris, Joe Carlo and Nolan Riley. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Madron, Ricky Madron, Donny Davis and all her ranching friends and family. Jean was born July 8, 1921 in Hope, New Mexico the daughter of Joe Kimbrough and Ella Hardin Kimbrough. She was a lifetime area resident. She was a rancher and member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed needlepoint, reading, crossword puzzles and crochet and served as a judge of needlepoint and crocheting at the fair for several years.Ms. Kimbrough was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Jess Anderson and a cousin Hallie Carlo. Survivors include cousins Mary Jane and W.G. Davis, Stanley and Denise Davis, Wesley and Phelan Davis, Nolan, Mandy, and Lincoln Riley, Mike and Paulette Harris, Joe, Jawna, Lexi and Mikenzi Carlo, Chad and Sysylya Harris, Twyla Davis and Sam Barela, J.D. Miller, Elma Lois Cain, Vernon Watson, Eugene and Jackie Watson, Buster Riley, Betty Jean and Rusty Van Pelt, Warren and Carolyn Harris, Jane and Sonny Watts, Helen and Jim Wagner, Kathy and Glen Gares, Wilma and Chet Stevenson, Edith and John Bilberry, Ethel Strickland, Johnny and Alene Hardin, Alton and Wanda Munson, Hollis and Linda Munson, and Faye Munson.
