Mr. Tysver, 55, died on December 21, 2023 in Artesia.

Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Jay was born on June 5, 1958 in Glendive, Montana; the son of James Tysver and Janet Miller Tysver. He was a carpenter by trade.

He was born in the wrong century, being a mountainman by nature. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and animals, especially dogs. He had a strong connection to nature and animals were drawn to him. He even had deer eating out of his hand. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh and laugh along with them.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother Joel Tysver, and by his step-mother Jeanie Tysver.

Survivors include his father Jim Tysver; and a sister Jackie Tysver.
