Janet Deason

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, at Faith Baptist Church for Janet Anne Deason of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Deason, 57, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at her home.

Gavin Vaughan will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her friends and co-workers at Walmart.

Janet was born September 30, 1958 in Hobbs, New Mexico; the daughter of L.J. Cone and Glenn Etta (Davis) Cone. She came to Artesia in 1976 from Hobbs, New Mexico.

On Dec. 5, 2008 she was married to Jim Deason in Artesia.

She was a Customer Service Rep. at Walmart and a member of Hermosa Dr. Baptist Church. Janet loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her spouse Jim Deason of the family home; parents L.J. and Glenn Etta Cone of Artesia; daughters Jennifer Tweedy and husband Randy of Artesia, Julie Roberts of Artesia, Jamie Childress and husband Shelby of Artesia, and Kari Davis and husband Bradley of Artesia; grandchildren Jeffrey Deason, Jr., Nathan Deason, Kade Green, Makenzie Green, Kyran Childress, and Jaxon Davis; sisters Kathy Howard of Artesia, Linda Goble of Alma, Arkansas, and Carol McNally of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; and brothers Robert Cone of Loving, New Mexico, and Ray Hardy of Lovington, N.M.
