Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, at St. Pauls Episcopal Church for Jane Logan Reid of Alto, New Mexico.
Mrs. Reid, 77, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Mission Arch in Roswell, New Mexico.
Fr. Maurice Geldert will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son.
Jane was born December 14, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri; the daughter of Edgar H. Logan and Marian (Mantz) Logan. She came to Artesia on Jan. 1, 1966 from the Republic of Panama.
On June 6, 1958 she was married to Jack Reid in Jefferson City, MO.
She was an owner/operator of The Yarn Basket with Betty Lloyd. She attended Columbia Women's College and Kansas University and was a vestry member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild. She was a member of Holy Mount Episcopal Church of Lincoln County, American Sewing Guild, Embroiders Guild of America, America Needlepoint Guild and a lifetime member of the Girlscouts. Jane was also a member of the Eddy County Extension Club and judged the needlework at fairs.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include spouse Jack Reid of the family home; daughter Toni Reid-Peppard and husband Sam of Artesia; son Willie Reid and wife Nanette "Pete" of Talahassee, FL; two grandchildren Megan Reid and Jaclyn Reid.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Mary White, The American Needlepoint Guild or Artesia Paws and Claws.
