Jane Bejarano

May 27, 1936 — February 14, 2018

On February 14, 2018 our beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother answered her calling to her heavenly home and entered the gates of Heaven's glory rejoicing to the sound of trumpets of the Angels. Viewing will begin at 10 AM Monday, February 19th at Terpening and Son Mortuary. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor from 5-7 PM that evening also at Terpening and Son Mortuary. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 20th at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Cremation will follow the service.

She entered this earth on May 27, 1936, born to Santiago and Patricia (Lujan) Jacques in Terlingua, Texas. At the age of 21 she met and married the love of her life Samuel Bejarano and together they raised their family in Artesia, NM. Papo Sam lovingly took care of her to the very end, never wavering in his love and commitment to their vows, "til death do us part".

Grama Jane enjoyed many activities including painting anything that stood still, and sometimes painting those that did not, namely turtles and some family pets that displayed her artwork with a streak of paint. She loved going to flea markets and often found treasures that are everywhere in the family home. Her greatest joy and accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She raised us all with a firm but loving hand and gentle spirit that will live on in us all. She found humor in everything and never met a stranger. Though there were moments of trials and tribulation in life, the good outweighed the bad and she always said they were glorification to God. We are who we are because of her love and beautiful, strong faith in our Savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus!

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Samuel Bejarano of the family home, Daughter Olga Miranda, and husband Anthony, Sons Oscar Bejarano and wife Felicia, Sammy Bejarano, Jr. , Israel Bejarano all of Artesia, NM ; Jeffery Bejarano and Sarah Sanchez of Aurora, Colorado.

Grandchildren include Ceara Miranda of Las Cruces, NM; Elijah Miranda, Allie Bejarano, Sammy Bejarano, Jr., Steven Bejarano, Stephanie Bejarano, Sonny Gonzales, Samantha Rubio, Tasha Bejarano, and Dominic Bejarano all of Artesia, NM; Laura Bejarano of Las Cruces, NM; Lucas Bejarano of Albuquerque, NM; Clarissa Bejarano and Azharae Sanchez of Aurora, Colorado.

Great Grandchildren: Kadijah, Diamond and Victor of Aurora, Colorado; Amillah, Anayeli, Adrian, Mariel, Aubrielle, Natalie, Sky, Ellie and Ava all of Artesia, NM; Additionally she is survived by her siblings Pina Rocha of Houston, TX; Josie Martinez of Las Lunas, NM; Maria Hernandez of Canutillo, TX; Carmen Brito and Jessie Garcia of Artesia, NM; Jim Jacques of Roswell, NM; and Jose Jacques of Hobbs, NM.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Olga Bejarano, parents Santiago and Patricia Jacques, Siblings Manuel Jaques,Sr., Salvador Jacques and Toni Palma nephew Manuel Jaques, Jr., and great grandchildren Jaydon Andrew Bejarano, Ysaiah Contreras and Deciderio Gonzales.

Pallbearers are Lucas Bejarano, Sammy Bejarano, Jr., Dominic Bejarano, Tony Chavez and Joe Palma. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

We would like to thank the Staff of Encompass , Yvonne Branch and Dr. Salgado and Staff for their compassionate care for our Grama Jane.

Though she will be greatly missed, we take great comfort that as a believer and faithful servant of Christ that the last breath Grama Jane took on earth was her first in Heaven. She has been made whole and is walking the shores of Heaven with the angels and saints that have gone on before her. Oh what a reunion that must be!
