James Reed

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 20, at Woodbine Cemetery for James Reed, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Reed, 33, died Thursday, May 15, 2003 in Lubbock, Texas. Pastor Troy Smothermon will officiate at the services. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Reed, Gaery Bethke, Laurance Bethke, Lahonya Bolen Chavarria and nieces and nephews. Mr. Reed was born October 28, 1969 in Guyman, Oklahoma; the son of J. W. Reed and Bea Marrow Reed. He came to Artesia in April of 2002 from Texas. He was a derrick hand in the oilfield and attended the Church on the Move in Roswell, N.M. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents and by three uncles. Survivors include his former Wife Ann Reed of Lamed, Kansas; a son Jacob Cochran of Lamed; daughters Ciara LeeAnne Reed and Chyanne Cochran both of Lamed; sisters Rilla Kathryn Bolen Johnson of Artesia and Roxanne Hair of Springtown, Texas; and brothers Wayne Reed of Artesia and Michael Reed of Alaska.
