James Giles

No services are scheduled for James Vernon Teence Giles, 8334 Cherokee Rd., Lake Arthur, New Mexico. Mr. Giles, 56, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Cremation has taken place under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Giles was born August 5, 1953 in Santa Ana, California; the son of Jack Giles and Irene Marsell Giles. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a driller in the oil field and member of the Baptist Denomination. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles Giles Survivors include son Cory Bryan of Carlsbad, N.M.; daughters Sabrina Giles of Victorville, Calif., and Heather Giles of Artesia, N.M.; aunts Eileen Vann of Lake Arthur, N.M., Ruth Rakin of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Wanda Guthrie of Rougmont, N.C.; uncles Steve Giles and wife Sharon of Phoenix, Arizona, Billy Giles and wife Barbara of Boise, Idaho; granddaughters Alexis Burchett and Lacy Cravens; numerous cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed by all and Aunt Sis and Sonya, our handyman. Arrangements are under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.
