Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, October 16, 2020 at Terpening & Son Mortuary Chapel for James Dishman of Lake Arthur, New Mexico.

Mr. Dishman, 53, died October 12, 2020 at Artesia General Hospital

Tim Aguilar will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Lake Arthur Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Dishman, James Dishman Jr., Joey Dishman Jr., Eric Mesquita, Raymond Mesquita, and Jesse Mesquita.

James was born September 6, 1967 in Rockford, Illinois.

James Spent the majority of his younger years working and living in Springfield Illinois. During this time he spent many years on the Stephenson County Sherrifs Department and taking in foster children. His entrepreneur attitude inspired him to embark on many adventures, from operating a Fiftwheel to starting a business. He was truly a jack of all trades. He never backed down from anything and always motivated his family to push harder and do better. His pride and joy was his family, every moment spent together was cherished deeply.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Dishman; sons Aaron Dishman, Joseph Dishman, James Dishman, and Eric Mesquita; daughters Hannah Mesquita and Priscilla Mesquita; a sister Kristine Porter; grandchildren Logan, Ellen and Briella.
