Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 30 at First Baptist Church in Artesia, N.M. for Jacque Morris, Lake Arthur, New Mexico. Mrs. Morris, 55, died Monday, April 28, 2003 at her home. Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Elton Huffmon, Mike Simer, George Moreau, Lupe Salazar, John Runyan, and Mel Runyan. Honorary pallbearers will be Betty Clark, Debbie Wilbourn, Rebecca Reese, Twyla Houghtaling, Dee Ann Connelly, Elida Martinez, Brenda Namek, Jaynie Beadle, Sheila Simer, Nancy Simer, Leslie Grantham, and Kay Huffmon. Jacque was born November 17, 1947 in Artesia; the daughter of Jack Burrows and Helen Ray Burrows. On October 5, 1968 she was married to George Morris in Artesia. She was former office manager for Dr. Jack Battin and was a hostess at La Salsa Restaurant. She was a member of the Baptist denomination and a past member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by an infant daughter Joy Kathleen Morris. Survivors include her husband George Morris of the family home; a son Brett Morris of Las Cruces, N.M.; brothers Ed Burrows of Midland, Texas and Gary Burrows of El Paso, Texas; sisters Barbie Wall of Albuquerque, N.M., Debbie Walker of Lubbock, Texas and Gaye Lynn Ledbetter of Artesia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
