Jackolin Runyan Jordan passed away January 7, 2015 in Ann Arbor Michigan. Graveside service will be held at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
Charles Walker will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Andy Ellett, Shane Hendrickson, Byran Ellett, Scott London, Lance Graham, and Buddy Pendergrass.
Jackolin was born July 22, 1930 in Carlsbad, NM to J.B. and Bereneice Runyan. She attended Loretto Academy in El Paso, graduated from Artesia High School, and studied homemaking at New Mexico State University. After spending many years as a ranch wife on the Penasco River, she relocated to Carlsbad in 1977 where she was Owner/Broker of Gibson Realty. Jackolin was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Beta Rho Chapter for 35 years, the NM Board of Realtors, and she volunteered in the gift shop at Carlsbad Medical Center. In her later years she enjoyed spending time at the Carlsbad Senior Center, where she loved attending dances.
Jackie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her infant brother Thomas, her parents, and her son William R. Ellett.
She is survived by a son James A Ellett and his wife Earlene, sister Marilyn Mershon and husband Bill, daughter-in-law Terri Ellett, , grandchildren Shane Hendrickson and wife Jennifer, Amber Tatum and husband Todd, Andy Ellett, Suzie Lancaster and husband Torbin, Bryan Ellett and wife Heather, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Mexico Girls and Boys Ranch.
