Jackie Thompson

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Terpening Son Chapel for Jackie Thompson, 6415 Seven Rivers Hwy, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Thompson, 66, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at Artesia General Hospital. Larry Richardson will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Thompson, Steven Thompson, Chris Cook, Christopher Claney, Mike Spencer, Mike Guerrero, and Aarmon Guillen. Honorary pallbearers will be Elvin Reiser, Dub Laman, Darrell Thompson, Alfred Thompson, Tommy Thompson and Lupe Marquez. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 am. Thursday Mrs. Thompson was born June 22, 1942 in Pampa, Texas; the daughter of Elbert Ironmonger and Pauline Florence Stone Ironmonger. On Feb. 11 , 1959 she was married to Harold Wesley Thompson in Clayton, N.M. She came to Artesia in 1962 from Pampa. She was a homemaker and member of Centre Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include husband Harold Thompson of the family home; son Robert Thompson and wife Kenni of Artesia; daughter Tammy Trujillo and husband Frank of Artesia; brother John Ironmonger and wife Janice of Artesia; 2 grandchildren Jessica Lynn Trujillo of Artesia, and Jonathon David Trujillo of Artesia; several nieces and nephews.
