Jack Meador

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Calvary Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice, New Mexico for former Artesia resident Jackie Don Meador of Eunice. PMr. Meador, 54, died Sunday, April 27, 2008. PRev. Eileen Utton will officiate at the services. Cremation will be under direction of Terpening amp; Son Mortuary. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Dale Evans, Ronnie Jackson, Tommy Skinner, John Skinner, Jonathan Norris, and Steve McCutcheon. No visitation is planned. PMr. Meador was born December 11, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of Truman Gilbert Meador and Sarah Margaret Buckner Meador. PHe was a 1972 graduate of Artesia High School and served in the United States Air Force. He moved to Eunice in 1985. PHe was a longtime truck driver for Navajo Refining Company and member of First United Methodist Church in Artesia. PHe was preceded in death by a brother John Meador in 1968 and by his father Gilbert Meador in 1984.
Survivors include his mother and step-dad Margaret and J.D. Roberts of Artesia; sisters Betty Kay Skinner of Artesia and Ronda Jean Lester of Lomita, Calif.; and two nieces and two nephews.
