PDave Ratzlaff of El Paso will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Belton Matthews, Dwight Adamson, Baron Chandler, Darin Chandler, Mike Durham,and Mark Hope.P
PJ.B. was born September 9, 1927 in Homer, Louisiana the son of Noah Clyde Phillips and Bennie Starnes Phillips.P
POn July 19, 1947 he was married to Edna Earl Wagstaff in Selman City, Texas. He came to Artesia in March 1952 from Selman City. She preceded him in death Jan. 4, 2006.P
PHe served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.P
PHe was owner and operator of Loco Hills Pump Service and Supply Inc. and a member of First Baptist Church, Past State Governor Optimist Club, and a Director for Babe Ruth Baseball.P
PSurvivors include daughter Tammy Huckabee and husband Kevin of El Paso grandchildren Lori Ridgway and husband Mathew, Michael Phillips, Breanne Kennedy and husband Matthew, Shohn Huckabee and wife Randi, Alyssa Huckabee, Jaryd Huckabee, Jacob Huckabee and Kailyn Huckabee greatgrandchildren Taylor Luna, Colton Ridgway, Shelby Ridgway, Garrett Ridgway, Hunter Phillips, Noah Kennedy, and Emily Kennedy.P
PHe was preceded in death by his parents, a son Billy Jack Phillips, greatgranddaughter Hannah Kennedy, a brother N.C. Phillips, and sisters Geraldine Hinkie and Bennie June Bell.P
