Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Forever Free Fellowship for Ismael P. Chito Telles of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Telles, 67, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Artesia General Hospital.
Pastor Alfredo Carrera will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Ashton Rosa, Ricky Rosa, Sonny Gonzales, Geno Gonzales, Devyn Garcia, and Denzyl Garcia.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A prayer service will be at the church Monday at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Telles was born February 14, 1943 in Marfa, Texas the son of Elias Telles and Rosa Porras Telles.
In March of 1986 he was married to Socorro Carrera in Saragosa, Texas. Chito was a longtime Artesia Resident.
He worked as a driller for Abbot Brothers Rat Hole Drilling. He retired in 2006. He was a member of Hobbs First Assembly, and loved photography.
He was preceded in death by his parents brother Benny Telles sister Lupita Telles and a nephew Ronnie Telles.
Survivors include wife Socorro Telles of the family home daughters Leslie Rosa and husband Ricky of Midland, Texas, Susie Powell and fiance Art Olivas of Artesia, and Debbi Garcia and husband Dennis of Artesia sons Ismael Telles, Jr. and wife Nelda of McAllen, Texas, and Sonny Gonzales and wife Shelly of Artesia brothers Raymond Telles of Hobbs, N.M., and Efren Telles and wife Sally of Hobbs 12 grandchildren Ashton, Ricky, Jr., Brianna, and Rebecca Rosa Ashley, and Julia Telles Sonny, Samantha, and Geno Gonzales Erica Olguin Devon, and Denzyl Garcia and four greatgrandchildren.
