Ismael Saenz

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July. 22, at Woodbine Cemetery for Ismael Saenz of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Saenz, 79, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at his daughters home.

John Calderon will officiate at the services.

Ismael was born April 27, 1935 in Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Bonifacio Saenz and Elisa Pena Saenz.

In 1963 he was married to Francisca Castillo in Mexico. they came to Artesia in 1974 from Mexico.

Ismael was a farm laborer and attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents 4 brothers a sister soninlaw Richard Calderon, Sr. and grandchildren Richard Calderon, Jr., and Anna and Kristina Olvera.

Survivors include his wife Francisca Saenz of the family home daughters Conception H. Calderon of Artesia, Beatrice Olvera and husband Mike of Artesia, Paticia Gamboa and husband Eustacio of Artesia, Aida Alcantar and husband Juan of Houston, Texas, Carmen Berdoza of Odessa, Texas, and Iliana Caldera and husband Aaron of Artesia sons Johnny Hernandez of Hobbs, N.M., Daniel Hernandez and wife Janie of Lovington, N.M., Frank Hernandez and wife Angie of Artesia, Gilbert Saenz of Artesia, and Ismael Saenz, Jr. and wife Maryann of Artesia 3 sisters 5 brothers and numerous grand and greatgrandchildren.
