Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 2, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Ismael Juarez of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Juarez, 78, died Sunday, October 31, 2004 in Artesia. Father Herb Robbins will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Chava Flores, Tony Huerta, Chava Flores, Jr., and Albert Causas. No visitation is planned. Mr. Juarez was born September 12, 1926 in Dayton, New Mexico; the son of Tom Juarez and Italia Grassi Juarez. On June 6, 1948 he was married to Essie Hernandez in Artesia. A lifelong Artesia resident, he worked as a crossing guard at Hermosa Elementary School and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by three brothers, and one sister. Survivors include his wife Essie Juarez of the family home; daughters Shirley Flores and husband Chava of Artesia, and Susan Huerta and husband Tony of Artesia; sons Ismael Juarez, Jr. and wife Sharon of Charlotte, N.C., and Fred Juarez and wife Rosalinda of Midland, Texas; a sister Maxine Villa of Artesia; brothers Israel Juarez and Jimmy Juarez both of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
