Isidoro Carrera

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Isidoro O. Carrera of Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Carrera, 83, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Artesia Good Samaritan Center. PFr. Richard Lifrak SS. CC. will officiate at the services with burial at the Lake Arthur Cemetery in Lake Arthur, N.M. Pallbearers will be Alfred Carrera, Steven Carrera, Isreal Carrera, Tony Marquez, Joaquin Carrera, and Bobby Carrera. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A prayer service will be Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the mortuary. PMr. Carrera was born April 4, 1923 in Presidio, Texas; the son of Gregorio Carrera and Dolores Olivas Carrera. PHe served in the United States Army. PHe came to Artesia in 1962 from Wyoming. He worked as a farm laborer and was a member of the Spanish Assembly of God Church in Artesia. PIsidoro was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include his son Esidoro Carrera of Artesia; daughter-in-law Sylvia Carrera of Roswell, N.M.; brother Manuel Carrera of Artesia; granddaughter Marissa Benavides and husband Michael of Roswell; grandson Isaiah Carrera of Artesia; great-grandchildren Isaiah Carrera, Jr., Victoria Carrera, Joel Benavides, and Alissa Benavides.
