Services will take place at a later date in Kansas City, Missouri for former Artesia resident Isabel Sophia Dressel. Interment will be in Stevens Point, Wisc. Mrs. Dressel, 92, died Jan. 12, 2009 in Kansas City. Isabel was born May 2nd, 1916, in Biron, Wisc.; the daughter of Joseph Klappa and Sophia Perch Klappa. She married Leonard John Jinske in 1936 in Stevens Point. He preceded her in death in 1961. In 1964, she was married to August Dressel in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc. The couple moved to Artesia in 1973. August preceded her in death in 1993. Isabel moved to Kansas City in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by three brothers. She loved to dance, play music, shoot pool, and go somewhere to be around people. While in Artesia, she learned to play the violin and was a member of the Looney Tuners Band at the Senior Center. She also appeared as an extra in a church scene for the movie A man who fell to earth. Survivors include sons Wayne Leonard of Naples, Fl. and William Joseph Jinske and wife Bobbie of Kansas City. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Carondelet Manor, 621 Carondelet Drive, Kansas City, MO 64114. Muehlebach Funeral Home in Kansas City is in charge of arrangements.
