Irene Cota

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 22, at the Primera Iglesia Bautista for Irene Cota of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Cota, 63, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Artesia General Hospital Emergency Room.

Pastor Abelardo Bolanos will officiate at the services with cremation to follow under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Irene was born February 16, 1954 in Artesia to Frederico Cota and Altagracia (Saiz) Cota. She was a lifelong Artesia resident.

Irene attended Faith Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed decorating things and love to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Lupe Rodriguez; and a brother Saldonio Cota.

Survivors include her children Melissa Ochoa and her husband Scott Bennett, Angelina Davila and husband Pedro all of Artesia, and Santana Ochoa and fiance Felicia Fresquez of Las Cruces, N.M.; sister Rosie Anholt; brothers Luis Cota of Loveland, CO, Frutos Cota of Artesia, and Fred Cota of Portales, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and her two yorkie's Bella and Ms. Cota.

Service
