Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Imogene Gleghorn of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Gleghorn, 85, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas.
Michael Joiner will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Thurmond, Justin Jenkins, Clinton Gleghorn, Chris Johnson, Nicolas Jenkins, Hayden Ridley, and Vincent Yeager.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Imogene was born July 24, 1929 in Anna Texas the daughter of Jesse Darnell Edwards and Nancy Ella Mooney Edwards.
On Nov. 9, 1947 she was married to Harold Ray Gleghorn in Vernon, Texas. They moved to Artesia in 1947 from Tipton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death February 10, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters, a grandson, and a greatgranddaughter.
Imogene worked for many years as a bookkeeper and finished her career as the Special Services Aid for the Artesia School district. She and her husband were part of the founding members of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ and she was a member of Daughters of American Revolution D.A.R.. Imogene enjoyed quilting and loved spending time with all of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters Connie Thurmond and husband A.B. of Seminole, Texas, and Julie Jenkins and husband Dennis of Lake Arthur, N.M. son Ron Gleghorn and wife Kay of Lubbock brothers Clifford Edwards of White Settlement, Texas, and J.D. Edwards of Richardson, Texas 7 grandchildren 16 greatgrandchildren and 3 greatgreatgrandchildren.
