Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church for Hilda Jean Rogers of Clovis, New Mexico.
Mrs. Rogers, 83, died March 4, 2019 at her home in Clovis surrounded by family and friends.
Rev. David Symm, St. John Church, Lariat, Tx. and Rev. Scott Blazek, Emeritus, Immanuel Church, Clovis, NM. will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Rogers, Jeff Maley, Charlton Guthals, Colin Guthals, Casey Spinks. and John Sauver. Honorary pallbearer will be Corey Spinks.
Hilda was born December 18, 1935 in Carlsbad N.M. to Hilbert and Lois (Porter) Schulle. She was a longtime Artesia resident before moving to Clovis in 2006.
Hilda delivered mail as a rural route carrier in Artesia, NM. for 29 years north of Artesia. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Artesia, NM and taught sunday school for many years. She enjoyed square dancing until her body made her give it up. She loved her rose brushes and fish pond in Clovis which gave her much joy. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hilbert and Lois and brother Henry.
Hilda is survived by her son Gene Rogers and wife Wendy of Artesia. Their children, Jerry Rogers, Kristen Maley and husband Jeff, and 3 great-grand children. Her sister Juanita Spinks and husband Don of Clovis, NM. and numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
