Henry Stevens

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, at Terpening Son Chapel for Henry B. Stevens of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Stevens, 38, died Sunday, March 30, 2008. James Rogers will officiate at the services. Cremation will follow the services under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Stevens was born January 7, 1970 in San Diego, California; the son of Paul Stevens and Patricia DeWater Stevens. On April 26, 2006 he was married to Maria Ladrera in Carlsbad, N.M. He came to Artesia in 2005 from Carlsbad. He was a mechanic for the City of Artesia. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flying model airplanes. Henry was preceded in death by a grandfather, grandmother, and three uncles. Survivors include his wife Maria Stevens of the family home; parents Patricia and Paul Stevens of Carlsbad; grandmother Nettie DeWater of Carlsbad; daughter Britney N. Stevens of Artesia; sons Jesse E. Stevens of Artesia, Trevor S. Stevens of Artesia, and Christopher M. Boomer of San Diego; brother Michael Stevens of El Cajon, California; cousin Robert DeWater of Topeka, Kansas.
