Henry M.D.

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, at First United Methodist Church for Henry L. Wall, M.D. of Artesia, New Mexico. Dr. Wall, 86, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Landsun Health Service Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Rev. Paul Duerksen will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stuart Taylor and members of the Methodist Mens Prayer Breakfast. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Dr. Wall was born June 20, 1923 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Joseph G. Wall and Iva L. Haley Wall. On June 23, 1946 he was married to Betty P. Grantham in Roswell, N.M. They came to Artesia in 1954. She preceded him in death Dec. 29, 1999. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Kristi Lynn Wall, and by a son Robin Wall. He served in the United States Navy as a pharmacist mate during World War II. He was a medical doctor graduating from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1953. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Methodist Men's Prayer Breakfast, 35 year member Artesia Downtown Lions Club, and the Marine Corp League. Survivors include a son Randy Wall of Albuquerque, N.M; and brothers Hugh A. Wall of Arizona, and James E. Wall of Las Cruces, N.M.
