Henry Brito Hernandez, a resident of Los Alamos, New Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 following a lengthy illness. Mr. Hernandez, 82, was a homebuilder in Northern New Mexico for over 40 years. He was an assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America; was a member of the League of United Latin American Citizens; and was a novice team roper until age 72. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donicio and Andrea Brito Hernandez; father and mother-in-law, Luis and Andrea; sisters, Elvira Sosa, Lupe Larez, Stella Dominguez; and brother-in-law and longtime business partner, Ruben Madrid. Henry is survived by his wife, Jane Reyes Hernandez of Los Alamos; children, Tommy Hernandez and wife Claudia of Rutheron, N.M., Kathy Harris and husband Quentin of Santa Fe, N.M. and Dena Edwards of Los Alamos; grandchildren, Jerome Edwards and companion Amanda Walker of Los Alamos, Krysti Hernandez of Rutheron and Leyla Germaine Romero of Santa Fe; great-grandchildren, Shelby Jo and Janey Micquel Edwards both of Los Alamos; sister, Senaida Madrid of Artesia, N.M.; brother, Fred Hernandez and wife Lenora of Abilene, Texas; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Florez of Tucson, Arizona and Vera Madrid of Santa Fe; brother-in-law, Roy Reyes and wife Minnie of Las Cruces, N.M.; beloved family friends, Monica Galloway of Santa Fe and Mark Trujillo of Pojoaque, N.M., and numerous other relatives and friends.
