Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2002, at Terpening Son Chapel for Henry Edd HaIl, 494 N. 26th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Hall, 94, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at his home. David Brunson will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members. Mr. Hall was born July 8,1907 in Wayland, Texas; the son of Frank Hall and Rillar Boles Hall. The family moved to Floydada, Texas where Henry grew up and worked on the family farm. In 1927, he moved to Pinon, New Mexico and worked as a ranch hand until 1938. Mr. Hall purchased a farm in Cottonwood, N.M. in 1938 where he resided until his death. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Roswell, N.M. on January 21, 1942. He fought in World War II as a Gunners Mate Second Class and was honorably discharged on January 18, 1945. On February 12, 1945, he was married to Thelma Slater Evans in Washington, D.C. She preceded him in death July 1,1976. He was a farmer and member of the Church of Christ and the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents; and by four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include sons Richard Evans and wife Dottie of San Jose, Calif., Tony Hall and wife Loretta of Artesia, David Hall of Carlsbad, N.M. and Thomas Hall of Elder, S. Dakota; a brother Buck Hall of Amarillo, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
