Helen Seeley

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, at Terpening Son Mortuary for Helen K. Seeley, 909 W. Grand Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Seeley, 97, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in California. Rev. Paul Dean Duerksen will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Seeley was born August 15, 1910; the daughter of Charles R. Coffin and Flora Pauline Roberts Coffin. In 1935 she was married to Reynolds W. Rex Seeley in Lovington, N.M. Her husband preceded her in death June 9, 1973. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Marynette Seeley. A lifelong area resident, she was a homemaker, worked several years for Dr. J. K. Woodlee; and attended Eighth Grand Church of Christ. Survivors include sons Robert R. Seeley and wife Dee of Hope, N.M., and Ed Seeley of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughters Barbara Kelly and husband Ron of Carlsbad, Calif., and Kathleen DuBose and husband Tom of Brawley, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
