Helen Pinson

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Terpening Son Mortuary for Helen L. Pinson, 5795 Seven Rivers Hwy, Lakewood, New Mexico. Mrs. Pinson, 74, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at home. Tom Gunn will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Hall, John Pinson, Scott Pinson, Tom McCombs, Richard Orosco and Jimmy Moreau. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Pinson was born March 28, 1934 in Wetumka, Oklahoma; the daughter of George McCellan Dallas Kern and Dora Bell MoulderKern. On Feb. 14, 1950 she was married to Walter Robert Pinson in Artesia. She came to Artesia in 1950 from Wetumka, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1980. She was a sales clerk for K-Mart in Albuquerque until retiring in 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Robert Earl Pinson, 2 sisters, 5 half-brothers and a granddaughter. Survivors include son Charles Pinson and wife Sherry of Lakewood; daughter-in-law Marilyn Charpentier of Fairfield, Montana; sister Ruth Kamplain of Norman, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
