Helen Lewis

Graveside serrvices are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Mountain Acre Cemetery in Mayhill, New Mexico for Helen Marie Lewis of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Lewis, 82, died Friday, October 24, 2014 at Mission Arch Care Center in Roswell, New Mexico.

Pastor Robert Bailey will officiate at the services.

Helen was born May 21, 1932 in Otis, New Mexico the daughter of Leonard Greene and Myrtle Lee Brown Greene. She was a lifelong Mayhill resident before moving to Artesia 5 years ago.

On March 5, 1949 she was married to Thomas Millard Lewis in Artesia. He preceded her in death May 10, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Helen was a homemaker and an active member of Mayhill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

Survivors include her niece Vickie Hall and husband Steve of Artesia.
