Helen Humphrey

Graveside services are scheduled at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Woodbine Cemetery, for Helen Humphrey of Artesia,

Mrs. Humphrey, 89, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Lakeview Christian Northgate in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Terry McKean will officiate at the services.

Helen was born June 8, 1925 in Dallas, Texas the daughter of John Burnett and Callie Leona Sharp Burnett. She came to Artesia in 1943 from Dallas, Texas.

On April 1, 1974 she was married to George Humphrey in Alamogordo, NM.

She was a housewife and preschool teacher at Trinity Temple Assembly of God and a member of the Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Floyd Lynn Ison, 5 brothers and 7 sisters.

Survivors include her husband George Humphrey of Artesia son Floyd Michael Ison of Lubbock, Texas daughter Brenda Evans of Artesia stepchildren Glenda West of Artesia, George V. Humphrey of Vietnam, and Richard Humphrey of Lampassas, Texas 3 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, 6 stepgrandchildren and 7 stepgreatgrandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.
