Helen George

Memorial services are scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness for Helen Mary George, 504 W. James Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. George, 84, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Isaac George will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son.

Helen was born November 1, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Miguel Elias Gazzar and Mentha Douned Gazzar. She came to Artesia in 1979.

On Dec. 17, 1948 she was married to Karem S. George in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He preceded her in death 1970.

She was a dishwasher at LaFonda Restaurant.

Survivors include son Jacob K. George daughter Minnie G. Coble grandchildren Cynthia M. George, Isaac J. George, and Alicia H. George greatgrandchildren Gabriel Vincent Beltran, Jr., Daniel Marcus Beltran, and Brandon George Beltran.
