Hector Guzman

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Hector Dominguez Guzman, 64 Roulette Rd., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Guzman, 52, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at his home. Father Brian Guerrini, SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Eric Guzman, Japheth Rascon, Benny Guzman, III, Israel Rascon, Justin Guzman, Robert Rascon. A vigil service is also planned for 6:30 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Grace. All visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church beginning at 4:00 p.m. Monday Hector was born August 25, 1956 in Dimmitt, Texas; the son of Benacio Guzman and Celia Dominguez Guzman. He was a 1975 graduate of Artesia High School and was a lifelong Artesia resident. He was an electrician and a carpenter and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He was preceded by his father Benacio Guzman; and by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Survivors include his mother Celia Guzman of Artesia; a son Lorenzo Guzman of the home; a daughter Sara Guzman of Roswell; brothers Benny Guzman and wife Corina of Cottonwood and Eddie Guzman of Cottonwood; a sister Odelia Rascon and husband Steven of Artesia; grandchildren Jakobe Ochoa, Brooke Marlee Ochoa, Briana Guzman, and Lorenzo Guzman, Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
