Hattie Young

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Woodbine Cemetery for Hattie M. Young, La Cuesta Road, Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Young, 71, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 in Mount Crested Butte, Colorado. PBarry Thomas will officiate at the services. No visitation is planned. PMrs. Young was born October 29, 1934 in Pampa, Texas; the daughter of C. C. Coffey and Ermine Grinstead Coffey. POn March 15, 1952 she was married to George D. Young in Eunice, N.M. The family came to Artesia in September of 1961 from Hobbs, N.M. PShe was office manager for George Young Sales Company. PSurvivors include her husband George Young of the family home; sons Brad Young and wife Bert of Artesia and Shawn Young and wife Kim of Midland, Texas; a daughter Brenda Garner and husband Randy of Odessa, Texas; sisters Claudine Reavis of Houston, Texas, Francis Johnston of Monument, N.M., and Barbara Osbourn of Midland; grandchildren Christy Abney, Kristen Kennemur, Nolan Young, Alex Garner, Courtney Young, and Morgan Young; great-grandchildren Hailee Abney, Lainey Abney, and Ashlynn Kennemur; and seven nieces and nephews.
