Harry Burchett, Sr.

Harry Burchett, 83, beloved Husband,Father, Step-Father, Grand Father,Brother,Cousin and Friend Was called to his eternal resting place on July 21, 2018. He entered this world on August 27, 1934 in Stambaugh, KY, born to Bill and Alaphaire Burchett.

Harry came to Artesia, New Mexico in 1961 from Springfield, Ohio. He worked at the Potash Mines and was an Avid Treasure hunter.He was a member of The Community Of Christ. Harry was a baseball coach for many years and was considered a "Dad" to many. Harry will always be remembered as the man who always had a smile on his face who was always looking for ways to brighten anyones day even if he didnt know you. He never met a stranger and had a heart of gold.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 2:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m at Terpening and Son Mortuary. Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

He is survived by his wife Maria Burchett of the family home, Sons Sean Burchett and wife Faye from Sweet Water, Texas, Harry Burchett Jr. of Artesia, New Mexico, Don Burchett of Artesia, New Mexico, James Burchett of Artesia, New Mexico, Joseph Ray Burchett and wife Pam of Kimberly, Idaho. Daughter Jerri Burchett of Artesia, New Mexico, Step Sons Gerardo Camargo of Artesia, New Mexico, Alfonso Sifuentes and wife Trista of Artesia, New Mexico, Step Daughter's Sylvia Hernandez of Artesia, New Mexico, Margarita Tesillo of Kansas City, Missouri, Marisela Esparza and husband Marco of Roswell, New Mexico, numerous grand children and numerous great grandchildren.

Harry was Proceeded in death by his parents, first wife Billie Burchett, Daughter Karen Sue Burchett, Son William O'Neil Burchett, step sons Juan Sifuentes and Homer Hernandez.
