Harold Harvey

No local services are scheduled for Harold Gene Harvey of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Harvey, 74, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at the V.A. Regional Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cremation is under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Harvey was born August 8, 1935 in Jefferson, Texas; the son of John Harvey and Etta Whitfield Harvey. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He came to New Mexico in 1981 and later to Artesia in 1995 from Mayhill, N.M. Harold was an Owneroperator for the Lazy Day Cabins. He was of the Methodist denomination, a member of the Mayhill Volunteer Fire Dept., past member of Ducks Unlimited, and the Wild Turkey Federation Harold was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his sons Gerald David Harvey of Jefferson, Texas, and John Earl Harvey of Jefferson; daughter Renata Ann Carter of Germany; brother Arnold L. Harvey of Jefferson; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
