Harlan Berry

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 18 at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Harlan Red Berry, Artesia, New Mexico. Rev. Don Price will officiate at the services. Mr. Berry, 81, died Monday, November 15, 2004 in Artesia. He was born June 6, 1923 in Stratford, Oklahoma; the son of P. P. Berry and Cora Anne Everett Berry. He came to Artesia from Oklahoma in the 1940's. On May 10, 1948, he was married to Juanita Cline in Mineral Wells, Texas. She preceded him in death on May 6, 1970. In 1971 he married Catherine Pryor in Carlsbad, N.M. He had served in the United States Army and was a truck driver for Navajo Refining Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by one brother; and one sister. Survivors include his wife Catherine Berry of the family home; daughters Linda Bolt of Shreveport, Louisiana, Karen Colwell of Monahans, Texas, and Kim Burns and husband Wayne of Artesia; sons Ellis Hensley of Artesia, Weldon Hensley of Artesia, Billie Hensley of Tyler, Texas, Jerry Berry of Hobbs, N.M., and Lynn Berry of Artesia; a sister Lucy Douglas of Artesia; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
