Guadalupe Marquez

Viewing will begin Friday October 11, 2024 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

A rosary will be recited for Guadalupe P. Marquez at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 9:30 am with a Mass and funeral service to immediately follow at 10:00 am.

 Mr. Guadalupe “Lupe” Marquez Passed away surrounded by his family on October 4, 2024 in Artesia. Lupe was born on December 12, 1936 to Jesus and Petra Marquez in Presidio TX.

Lupe loved and served the Lord Jesus Christ at Our Lady of Grace as a lector and Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of the Cursillistas, Marriage Encounter, Charismatic Renewal and men’s prayer group.

Lupe was a carpenter, gardner and enjoyed sharing his faith. He truly enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and cooking Asado outside. 

Lupe is survived by his wife Esperanza B. Marquez, his daughter Elizabeth Roth and husband Tim, his daughter Rosa Faith Marquez, his son Richard Marquez and wife Deana. He is also survived by his grandchildren Tasha Mangano and husband Joe, Thomas Roth, Maricia Marquez, Eliana Marquez, and great granddaughter Ava Mangano. Sisters Rosa Aguilar, Grace Lopez and husband Joe Lopez, Brother Henry Marquez and wife Mary Marquez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lupe was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers Jesus Marquez, Jose Marquez, Oscar Marquez and sisters Maria Rubio, Agripina Leyba. 

Pallbearers are Michael Marquez, Epie Jr. Bustamante, Israel Bejarano, Avelardo Rubio, Christopher Lopez and Ricky Esquibel
