Guadalupe Jimenez

Funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 31 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Guadalupe Noriega Jimenez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Jimenez, 57, died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell, N.M.

Fr. Jorge Vargas will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Jimenez, Jr., Jesus Chavez, Albert Mata, Mago Jimenez, Marilio Ponce, Jr., Felipe Jimenez, and Porfirio Jimenez.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Monday from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Guadalupe was born January 4, 1960 in Juarez, Mexico to Porfirio Jimenez and Juana (Noriega) Jimenez.

On September 1, 1994 he was married to Amalia Gallegos in Roswell. He was a longtime Artesia resident.

Guadalupe worked as a farm laborer and enjoyed music and the outdoors. He love to spend time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, and a daughter Mariaelena Jimenez.

Survivors include his wife Amalia of the family home; daughters Lydia Jimenez, Laura Jimenez, and Elisa Jimenez all of Artesia; sons Guadalupe Jimenez, Jr. and wife Rosa and Jesus Chavez both of Artesia also; 7 siblings Porfirio, Olga, Felipe, Margarito, Sylvia, Cecilia, and Ofelia; 6 grandchildren Isis, Armani, Necel, Daisy, Arianna, and Cesar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
