Grover Parish

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 5, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Grover K. Parish, 704 Centre Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Parish, 90, died Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Artesia General Hospital. Rev. Lewis Mowery will officiate at the services. Mr. Parish was born February 19, 1915 in Clarksburg, W. Virginia; the son of Grover C. Parish and Lillian Homer Parish. On Dec. 16, 1939 he was married to Nondys Evans in Carlsbad, N.M. He came to Artesia in Feb. 1956. She preceded him in death Jan. 3, 2002. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a Pipe Fitter and member of Calvary Baptist Church Survivors include sons Ken Parish of Cozad, Nebraska, and Nick Parish of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters Nelda Hayden of Steam Boat Springs, Colo., and Nadine O'Malley of San Angelo, Texas; 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
