Gregorio Lopez

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, January 17, at Forever Free Fellowship for Gregorio Gonzalez Lopez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Lopez, 72, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at his home.

Chuno Bustamante will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Ybarra, Jr., Luis Lopez, Celestino Lopez, Pablo Lopez, Jose Lopez, and Tomas Lopez.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Gregorio was born May 9, 1941 in Cuchillo, Parado Mexico the son of Pablo Lopez and Gregoria Gonzalez Lopez. He came to Artesia in 1959 from Mexico.

On May 20, 1968 he was married to Anatalia Olivas in Carlsbad, N.M.. She preceded him in death July 19, 1998. He was also preceded in death by his parents brothers Juan Lopez and Celestino Lopez and a daughter Victoria Lopez.

Gregorio was a farm laborer and was of the Catholic denomination.

Survivors include his daughters Rosalinda Lopez of Artesia, and Irma Lopez and husband Gustavo of Carlsbad, N.M. sons Jaime Olivas and wife Vicky of Artesia, Benito Lopez and wife Wendy of Carlsbad, and Martin Lopez and wife Lupe of Seven Rivers, N.M. sisters Santos Ybarra and husband Lorenzo of Pecos, Texas 13 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.
