Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, for Greg Guerrero, 1805 W. Booker Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Guerrero, 48, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. PFr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tony Huerta, Mark Briscoe, Martin Navarette, Tommy Raglin, Terry Sosa, Chris Perez, and James Pope. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Luevano, and Kyle Moore. PVisitation will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Church beginning at 4:00 p.m. Thursday followed by a rosary service at 6:00 p.m. PGreg was born November 16, 1959 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of Felipe A. Guerrero and Elidia Lee Dominguez Guerrero. PHe graduated from Artesia High School in 1977 and was a lifelong resident of the community. He was a finish carpenter for Herb Pettus Construction and a member of the Catholic faith. PHe was preceded in death by his grandmothers Antonia Guerrero, and Maria Dominguez; and uncles Luis Sosa Aguilar, Eliodoro Guerrero, and Robert Dominguez.
Survivors include his parents Felipe and Lee Guerrero of Artesia; twin brother Richard Guerrero of California, and brother Michael Guerrero and wife Jeanna of Artesia; sister Francine Guerrero and fiance Larry Luevano of Artesia; grandfather Thomas Dominguez and wife Frances of Artesia; nephews Bryce and Brant Guerrero and Kyle M. Moore; nieces Alexa Moore, Katelyn Bennett, and April Luevano; great-niece Autianna Juarez; and beloved pets Zip and Jake.
