Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 7, at Trinity Temple Assembly for Gracie Lopez of Artesia, New Mexico. Ms. Lopez, 33, died Sunday, December 4, 2005 at U.N.M. Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Lopez, Alonzo Lopez, Adolfo Lopez, Martin Lopez, Arthur De Leon, and Adam Wortley. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary, Tuesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. Gracie was born January 5, 1972 in Denver City, Texas; the daughter of Antonio Lopez and Nicolasa Morales Lopez. She came to Artesia in 1982 from Texas. She was a Caregiver for Lending Hands at the Door of Opportunity, and was a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and nursery helper. Gracie was preceded in death by her mother; one sister; and her grandparents. Survivors include her father Antonio Lopez of Hope, N.M.; brothers Tony Lopez of Artesia, Alonzo Lopez of Artesia, Adolfo Lopez of Seminole, Texas, and Martin Lopez of Artesia; sisters Esperanza Foster of Denver City, Texas, Margarita Lozano of Newark, Texas, Frances Luera of Hobbs, N.M., Nolberta Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas, and Suzy Wortley of Artesia; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
