Gonzalo Morales-Cruz

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Friday, September 20, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Gonzalo Morales Cruz, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Morales-Cruz, 72, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Father Richard Lifrak will officiate at the services with interment at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ganzalo Morales, Jr., Juan J. Morales, Anastacio G. Morales, Pedro Morales, Humberto Morales, and Juan Manuel Rodriguez. A rosary service is also planned for 6:30 P.M. Thursday at Our Lady Of Grace Church. Mr. Morales-Cruz was born October 25, 1929 in Mexico City, Mexico; the son of Gonzalo Morales Rojas and Francisca Cruz Rojas. On January 15, 1972 he was married to Maria C. Juarez in Torreon Coahuila, Mexico. He came to Artesia in 1994 from Hatch, New Mexico. He was a truck driver and member of the Catholic denomination. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife Maria C. Morales of the family home; sons Gonzalo Morales, Jr. of Artesia, Juan Francisco Morales of Hatch, Anastacio G. Morales and Pedro Morales both of Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, Humberto Morales of Lake Arthur, N.M., Juan Manuel Rodriguez of Hatch, and Rodolfo Rodriguez of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughters Martha Rosa Morales of Torreon, Elsa M. Morales of Artesia, Anna Sylvia Rodriguez of Artesia and Juana Maria Rodriguez of Torreon; sisters Guadalupe Morales of Mexico City and Teresa Morales of Mexico City; 34 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
