Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 2, at West Main Baptist Church for Gloria M. Longoria, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Longoria, 59, died Saturday, January 29, 2005 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Pastor Abelardo Bolanos will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Martinez, Ervey Ray Cano, Jacob Cano, Lino Arredondo, Gabriel Longoria, and Joe Arispe. A prayer service is also planned at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at Terpening Son Mortuary. Visitation will be at the mortuary Tuesday starting at 10:00 A.M. Mrs. Longoria was born May 5, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas; the daughter of Frank B. Martinez and Lucy Farias Martinez. On March 19, 1961 she was married to David Longoria, Sr. in La Mesa, Texas. She came to Artesia in 1979 from Roswell, N.M. She was a homemaker and member of Primera Iglesia Bautista and very active in the womens ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Freddy Martinez. Survivors include her husband David Longoria, Sr. of the family home; sons Danny Longoria and wife Evelyn of Mesa, Arizona, and David Longoria, Jr. and wife Delores of Artesia; a daughter Diane Cano and husband Ervey of Artesia; brothers Tony Martinez and wife Mary of Amarillo, Texas, and Frank Martinez of Indio, California; a sister Helen Rodell of Fresno, California; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
