Glenn Mccullar

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday Nov. 30, for Glenn Ross McCullar, 36 S. Espuela Rd., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. McCullar, 45, died Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Andrews, Texas.

Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening & Son.

Glenn was born October 26, 1970 in Yuba City, California; the son of Bucky McCullar and Viola Mae (Clark) McCullar. He came to the Artesia area in 2000 from Benson, Arizona.

On Oct. 26, 1993 he was married to Kerry Hill in Benson.

He was a member of the Assembly of God. Glenn was a master welder, he started welding as a young boy, and helped build the Biosphere in Oracle, Arizona. He built fuel storage tanks all over the United States and welded in the oil fields in New Mexico and Texas. Glenn played a huge role in helping numerous kids get a start in the sport of rodeo. He loved children and they loved him. He was always giving a helping hand to anyone in need; he would give them the shirt off his back and buy them another one if needed. He served on several junior rodeo boards throughout New Mexico, he served on the New Mexico High School rodeo board as the steer wrestling director. In his spare time he loved brook trout fishing, team roping, stock contracting and raising cattle. He had a great love for animals but most importantly spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Kerry McCullar of Artesia; sons Preston Dee McCullar of Artesia, and Miles Glenn McCullar of Artesia; brothers Milton Brummett of Tucson, Arizona, Bucky Brummett of Porter, Texas, and Bucky Kid McCullar of Ft. Collins, Colorado; sister Becky Lou Cruz of Conroe, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and friends.
